My blog has been neglected for months and months. It's a sign of not having a decent adventurous holiday this year with the bf and having a lot on my plate both professionally and personally.
I did have a wonderful ski holiday for 5 days in Wanaka with my sister's young family which was an absolute blast - to have put on the skis again after half my life time was exhilarating and ridiculously fun. I have booked in for another 5 days in August 2018, hopefully this time with Miles in tow.
Other highlights for 2017 - I bought a horse. I had a career change. We settled into a new house in a new suburb. I painted a few commissions. I sold almost all of my aTwtQ cushion cover range (a few left). Twiggy grew into her fully grown 3.2kg self. Archie is still a legend., fiercely independent, but a legend of a cat.
The horse - his name is Lochie and he is divine, a tall, leggy chestnut with a handsome white blaze. I rode growing up. Riding and horses have flowed through my veins ever since. Seven years of an intense day (and night) job meant that owning a horse was unrealistic. So this year, 2017, i made a change to have more time outside of the office. And so the story goes, i met Lochie, he takes my mind away from the day-to-day and he shows me his unconditional love by being a playful, ADHD, bitey and willing 3 year old. He's perfect.
In 2018 Miles and i plan on doing a trip somewhere interesting so, true to this blog's purpose, i will record ramblings of the cities we visit so i have a perpetual record of places visited, eaten, enjoyed and admired. All those details i could never remember if i didn't jot them down. The joys of aging.
