Mmm light. You are so warm and comforting. Especially when embraced in elegant design.
Michael Anastassiades is a new find for me.
His lights are simple genius. They visually are easy and delicate to look at, yet physically, will fill the void of an open space with grace and volume.
The rounds of the bulbs are mouth blown opaline. He uses gold, black and chrome finishes with lasting quality metals such as polished brass, stainless steel and nickel.
His 'Mobile Chandeliers' elegantly stretch between floating light bulbs, testing the definition of balance. I can just imagine them suspended low over a dining table or kitchen island bench.
The table lamps are calmingly off centre. Looking at the 'Tip of the Tongue', it really doesn't bother me that the mouth blown bulb is sitting off centre. It almost looks magnetic, like it will roll back to its charged centre, or rather, for namesake, that word will roll off it's tongue any second.
Micheal's collection also includes brass vases, rings and glassware.
