Today i took myself off to heaven - oh i mean Coco Republic's Design Centre in Alexandria, Sydney.
It is full of rich, luxurious, real, and stupendously brilliant furnishings for the home.
What makes it even more exciting for those of us that get tipsy over soft furnishings, is that this is where you'll find one of British Timothy Oulton's collections.
Timothy Oulton’s design portfolio, which is stocked in London's Harrods, is daring and authentic, while maintaining the modern. The authentication comes from using reclaimed timbers salvaged from distilleries, mills, Old English Manors and disused Chinese junks, and high quality leathers and fabrics.
With galleries all over the world, including the most recent additions in Hong Kong and Amsterdam, the Timothy Oulton collections have proved to be popular stomping grounds worldwide.
Another big collection at Coco is Oly San Francisco. The range is exclusive to Coco Republic and features a wide range of styles, furniture and accessories. Have a look here at the gallery - it's brighter, fresher and a bit more diverse compared to Oulton. The chairs photographed in the top right below is a new style playing on a more geometric and masculine theme. My favourite, among many others!
There is also a gorgeous covered outdoor area which has the outdoor furniture range - i can just imagine those rope pendants (pictured centre bottom) hanging from the roof of a dimly lit verandah. Stunning!
"With a truly authentic British aesthetic, Timothy Oulton carefully interprets vintage design and craftsmanship with an unmistakable fresh modernity."
Coco Republic offers interior design consultations and even has a design school.
There are stores in Sydney, Melbourne (including Timothy Oulton) and Brisbane.
