There is something lovely about hanging plants. Graceful and elegant, and for the pedantic of this world, easy to dust around.
I have just put a hanging String of Pearls succulent in my bathroom, hanging from the roof in the corner of the open shower. It adds effortless colour and interest to this white bathroom.
The star of the show however, is the jelly planter which you can get here from angusandceleste - they have so many gorgeous photographs of their hanging planters, vases and wall clocks in their gallery that are a must see. Prices are very reasonable, with the ceramic jelly planter pot, which comes in 6 pastel hues and 2 styles, retailing for A$59. You get stainless steel wire along with the pot so all you need to get yourself is a toggle hook for the ceiling. I used this one from Bunnings(well Dad did as you need someone that knows what they are doing to help you with positioning as once the hole is made it's made!).
There are so many different planter options - i absolutely love glass hanging terrariums (see Air Terrariums), and iKea has inexpensive water hyacinth planters (A$7.99) which dad and i put up above their covered outdoor patio area. We used stainless steel hooks to prevent weathering and brass plated links from Bunnings to extend the length of the hang.
